Adam
was so funny that Candace could not stop lauging
the whole interview and almost wet her pants!
She was so out of breath and sweating!
Candace & Steve's
Godchildren, Tiffany, Stephanie, and Jonathan
were visiting at the time and became a part of
the story. Adam kept telling the kids he was
doing an intervention and was taking them away
in a van to save them from the crazy lady! "Go
on, kid," Adam said to 6-year-old Jonathan "get
in the van!"
So
many funny things happened that just didn't make
it into the show and that was a shame.
Adam
saw ants crawling around the sink and acted horrified.
Candace pointed out that everyone had ants at
that time of the year, even he had ants, and
celebrities', too. "No," said Adam, "Gwyneth
Paltrow has rich ants."
He
just couldn't believe he was seeing so many bunnies.
Adam acted like he'd been bunnied out, but talked
about it TWO YEARS LATER with
Danny Bonaduce on his radio show, May 9, 2007.
The written transcription below doesn't do the
segment justice. It was much funnier as Danny
has not been to The Bunny Museum. Listen to it.

6:26AM – HUELL
HOWSER AND THE BUNNY MUSEUM
Huell Howser, a permanent fixture
of public access TV, can’t be fired because
regardless of how boring or odd his show may be,
there’s no competition – thus the longwinded
conversations with old-times about rocks, explains
Adam.
In this particular show, Huell
went to the bunny museum, but Adam has an important
point: just because you’ve collected a certain
amount of a particular kind of crap, doesn’t
mean you have a museum.
Danny’s had a weird experience
with something like that – a girl he dated
had frozen every pet she had ever had in a ziplock,
but does that make it a dead pet museum?
Anyways, there’s a crazy
broad in Arcadia running this bunny museum of out
her dilapidated house – which brings up another
question: what the hell is her husband thinking?
Adam plays the clip from Huell’s
foray into the bunny museum. “You know,” says
Adam, “when you go into somebody’s
house and they have a bunch of crap, they’ve
got packrat syndrome. When they’ve got a
bunch of the same crap, they’re suddenly
collectors!”
There’s another clip of
Huell interviewing the bunny lady, and it turns
out that in addition to converting her house into
a museum in the mind of this crazy lady, all the
gifts have been exclusively exchanged between the
lady and her husband.
6:48AM – CONTINUING THE
TOUR OF THE BUNNY MUSEUM
Huell’s interest in everything
you’re doing regardless of how interesting
it actually is a great way to make whoever he’s
interviewing feel really special, explains Adam.
Adam’s fascination with
Huell was originally sparked by the most anticlimactic
interview Huell has ever done – at the Baghdad
café.
Anyways, the rest of the interview
basically follows Huell exclaiming how overwhelming
and exciting the bunny museum is – well,
at that point, if you’ve overwhelmed Huell,
that’s saying something.
